Who We Are

We’re Chris and Jessica, a pair of teachers—English and Bible respectively—whose shared love for Scripture sparked conversations on school trips and bus rides. We'd often find ourselves deep in discussion about Scripture, history, and the character of God. Before long, students started tuning in—curious, asking questions, wanting to know more. Those moments made something clear to us: there’s a deep hunger for spaces where people can ask real questions about the Bible.

So we set out to create inBible---an online space where anyone can come to explore Scripture honestly, regardless of background or familiarity. A space where people can feel included, are encouraged to inquire, and ultimately grow to indwell the truth and presence of God in their lives.

That’s what inBible is all about. Thanks for being here—we can’t wait to learn alongside you.

Hi, I’m Jessica! I'm a lifelong lover of stories—analyzing them, studying their themes, getting lost in their worlds. Stories help us understand ourselves, and in the case of the Bible, to understand & experience God in our lives. The Bible is a beautiful tapestry, weaving the story of a relentless God who pursues His people—including you and me.

Through its pages, I’ve moved from simply knowing about God to actually experiencing His presence—His nearness, His voice. That shift has changed everything.

inBible is a space where I hope you can experience the same. A place to explore, ask questions, and discover the God who still speaks through story. I’m here to walk alongside you as we continue to inquire, learn, and open our lives to His indwelling presence.

Let’s journey through this story, together.

Hi, I’m Chris. I’ve always been fascinated by history and the Bible—by words and by stories. The more I can understand the stories of the Bible, the more clearly I can see my place in the world's biggest story: God’s love and his master plan to restore all things. That story shows me how deeply connected and included we are, and how God’s love gives each of us dignity and true siblinghood—if we’re willing to receive it.

I still remember the first times I realized that God’s love doesn’t just inspire—it actually changes real circumstances. Even more, God cares for me personally. That realization stopped me in my tracks. No wonder the early Christians lived with such courage and joy. Once you get a taste, you can’t help but want more.

inBible Community exists for that kind of seeking. It’s where you can bring your hopes, fears, questions, and doubts, lay them alongside the Bible, and discover what God’s Word has to say. That same curiosity has guided me for decades, drawing me deeper into Scripture and the ancient world behind it. In college, I even learned the basics of the biblical languages just to dig more. And every time I return, I find something new waiting there.

When we explore the Bible together (inquiring) something beautiful happens. We don’t just gain insight—we discover that God’s Spirit meets us, individually and as a community (indwelling). He shapes us with wisdom and leads us toward lives that are more authentic, more purposeful, and more in harmony with Jesus himself.
